Appearing on the popular Obinna Show Live, the pastor underscored the notion that every marriage faces its hurdles, suggesting that many individuals often seek those very challenges themselves.
Size 8, who is also a mother of two, articulated that pride is a significant factor contributing to tension and stagnation within marriages.
“Every marriage has its ups and downs. What I would like to advise women is that one secret to marriage is without a doubt Jesus Christ, putting God at the center and embracing humility,” she stated candidly.
Highlighting the importance of humility, Size 8 remarked, “Many people’s problem with marriage is pride. If you all grow up with pride, who will hold the marriage together? So the biggest weapon for marriage is humility, even for men too.”
The pastor expressed strong criticism towards men who believe that humility and obedience are solely the responsibility of their female partners.
He emphasized that humility should be a fundamental characteristic embraced by all individuals in a relationship.
“Men, one criterion of love is humility. Most men do not have that. Most men lack the humility to accept that their wives can pursue their own interests,” he explained.
Furthermore, Size 8 called for women to reciprocate this humility by submitting to their husbands’ authority.
“And women do not have the humility to submit to their men. Man, accept your wife as she wants, and you, wife, submit to your husband’s authority,” he advised, aimed at fostering a balanced dynamic in marriage.
