Seun Kuti replies Yvonne Jegede, following her recent post

  • Yvonne Jegede had earlier lamented over the economy of the country while questioning Sanwolu on why he wanted to feed the citizens through mama put stands in Lagos.
  • Seun Kuti in reaction, stated that nobody respects a beggar, noting that a more diligent action should be taken up.

Seun Kuti, son of the late legendary musician Fela Kuti, has responded to Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede’s recent plea to the governor of Lagos state, Sanwo-Olu.

Note that earlier today, Yvonne Jegede bemoaned the state of the economy and asked Sanwo-Olu why he intended to feed the citizen in Lagos by setting up mama put stands.

She added that, given the near extinction of the industrial sector, he could hire more workers and pay them as little as the minimum wage rather than feeding them, noting how the majority of taxpayers are now reduced to panhandlers.

“Sanwo Olu, Why feed us? Why can’t you just employ us? Get people out to start digging sewages, laying pipes underground, sweeping the streets and paying them as little as minimum wage, since the industrial sector is almost dead.

Why would you even prefer to feed your citizens “Mama Put”, @ taxpayers have been reduced to beggars. 9r.. When will someone just have mercy on us?

When will someone just feel pity for this great country?” she wrote.

In reaction, Seun Kuti, however took advantage of her claim that taxpayers have been reduced to panhandlers. He stated that a beggar is not respected by anyone, highlighting why citizens should be taking more careful action.

No body respects a beggar” he wrote.

Few hours ago, Seun Kuti had berated wives of politicians for not divorcing their ‘corrupt’ husbands.

He bemoaned the fact that Nigerian politicians steal out of greed and questioned how their spouses are able to love them knowing fully well what they do.

In a recent Instagram live session, Seun Kuti did not hold back in his critique, calling out these women for enabling and supporting their spouses’ unethical behavior instead of taking a stand against it.
