Sporting Lisbon coach Ruben Amorim is reportedly on the brink of becoming Liverpool’s next manager, as per reports from Sky Sports Germany.
The 39-year-old tactician has allegedly reached a verbal agreement to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
While Liverpool have not confirmed any deal yet, negotiations with Sporting Lisbon are believed to be pending.
However, Amorim is reportedly keen on joining Liverpool and could commit to a contract until 2027.
Meanwhile, potential obstacles remain, including the negotiation of Amorim’s release clause, believed to be £25m.
Amorim’s tenure at Sporting Lisbon has been remarkable, leading the team to the top of the Portuguese league and winning the title in his first full season in charge.
