Cristiano Ronaldo has etched his name into the record books yet again.
The 36-year-old became the European Championship’s all-time leading scorer Tuesday after scoring his 10th and 11th goals in the competition during Portugal’s 3-0 win over Hungary.
The goals move the Juventus star – who is appearing in his fifth European Championship – past French legend Michel Platini.
Ronaldo was largely quiet throughout the contest until Portugal finally managed to break the deadlock against a stubborn Hungary outfit.
After Raphael Guerreiro opened the scoring in the 84th minute, Ronaldo scored the record-breaking goal from the penalty spot to double Portugal’s lead.
