Atlanta Police say that the midtown shooting suspect that killed two people and left another one injured was taken into custody at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
Raissa Kengne was arrested by ATF task force officers at a terminal prior to going through security and reportedly had a .9mm Glock pistol in her purse.
APD said the following in a news release on Monday: “We are grateful for the assistance of our public safety partners who assisted in this situation. Specifically, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Fulton County Marshals Office, MARTA Police, Georgia State University Police, Georgia Tech Police Department, the ATF, Atlanta Fire Rescue Department and Grady EMS. With the help of our public safety partners and our extensive camera network, we were able to locate the suspect and safely apprehend her at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport.”
Police have the suspect in custody, and we came across the woman’s LinkedIn profile which gave clarity on the situation.
The suspect, Raissa Kengne, shot the building manager and building engineer. The manager is reportedly dead. The second person who was shot has died as well.
From what I gathered they allegedly went in her home and broke into her safe and stole a flash drive because she was about to file a lawsuit.
She wasn’t satisfied with how the police handled the initial situation and took matters in to her own hands.
