Real Madrid players eye €203m bonus if successful with Champions League

Real Madrid stars are set for huge bonus totalling €203m, but must first win two German giants in the Champions League.

They have Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund to defeat, before the players stand the chance to earn the substantial bonuses around €1.4 million (before tax).

This amount is a significant increase from what used to be in previous years.

In 2022, following their Liga and Champions League double, players received €500k less in bonuses.

With 23 squad members, the total bonus pool could exceed €32 million, possibly reaching €40 million if coaching staff are included.

Real Madrid’s financial gains extend beyond bonuses, with their La Liga title already securing €53 million.

Victory in the Champions League would further boost the club’s earnings, potentially surpassing the €200 million mark in total income from TV and prize money.

Despite the substantial bonuses for players, Real Madrid remain financially robust, with their ability to invest in top talent.

The huge fund is expected to cover the salary of star player Kylian Mbappe as well.
