Real Madrid have secured a controversial 3-2 win in the LaLiga against 10-man Almeria side, after an intense encounter.
Almeria had earlier taken the lead few seconds into the first half, off the foot of Largie Ramazani.
Edgar González further asserted the visitors’ dominance shortly before the end of the half, making it 2-0.
However, the second half marked a twist, with Real Madrid gradually coming back into the game, after Jude Bellingham fired into the back of the net.
This was followed by a controversial Vinicius Junior’s goal in the 67th minute to level the score at 2-2.
The goal appeared to have been scored as much with his arm as his shoulder, but VAR overlooked it.
Meanwhile, VAR had earlier ruled out Almeria’s goal for a very light foul on Jude Bellingham, but remained defiant at Vinicius’s handling of the ball with his arm.
Regardless, Madrid went ahead to level the score, turning around the 2-0 half time deficit, and eventually securing a die-minute winner through Dani Carvajal, after Almeria were already one man down due to a red card.
