Rahama Sadau (born December 7, 1993) is a talented Nigerian singer, filmmaker, and actress. Her first film, Gani ga Wane, released in 2013, catapulted her into the spotlight.
She was born and raised in the Nigerian state of Kaduna, where she competed in dance contests as a child. She has appeared in several Hausa and English films and is fluent in Hindi.
Rahama Sadau was the first Hausa diva to appear in the top ten Hottest Female Nigeria Celebrities in 2014 and 2015. She also won Best Actress (Kannywood) at the City People Entertainment Awards in 2014 and 2015.

Early Life & Education
On December 7, 1993, Rahama Sadau was born into the Alhaji Ibrahim Sadau family in the northwestern part of Nigeria, Kaduna precisely.
She and her three sisters, Fatima Sadau, Zainab Sadau, Aisha Sadau, and a brother named Haruna Sadau, lived and grew up with their parents in their hometown Kaduna.
Rahama Sadau studied Human Resource Management at the Eastern Mediterranean University‘s School of Business and Finance in Northern Cyprus.
Career
Rahama Sadau was brought to the Kannywood films by Ali Nuhu in 2013. She had a few minor appearances before becoming well-known for her role in Gani ga Wane, Jinin Jikina, in which she co-starred with Kannywood actor Ali Nuhu.
Rahama Sadau was suspended from acting in Kannywood by the major association group, The Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN), on 3 October 2016 for performing in a romantic music video with ClassiQ, a Jos-born singer.
She wrote to MOPPAN to apologize for stepping over her boundaries following the intervention of Kano State Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in 2017. However, the ban imposed on her was lifted in January 2018. In 2016, she was named the “Face of Kannywood” for the year.
Following her passion for filmmaking, Rahama Sadau started her own filmmaking organization known as Sadau Pictures in 2017 and produced her first film, Rariya, which starred Sadiq Sani Sadiq, Ali Nuhu, Sani Musa Danja, and Fati Washa. In MTV Shuga, she reprised her acting career as a career instructor.
Among the returning actors for MTV Shuga‘s sixth season, “Choices,” Rahama Sadau was part of them that aired in 2019. Other returning actors included Timini Egbuson, Yakubu Mohammed, Uzoamaka Aniunoh, and Ruby Akubueze.
