Producer distances self from P-Square’s feud, clarifies role in song theft

Nigerian music producer, Vampire Grace has issued a statement, distancing himself from the ongoing feud between P-Square’s twin brothers, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) and Peter Okoye (Mr P), regarding the release of their song, ‘Winning’.

The feud reignited on Friday after Rudeboy claimed ownership of ‘Winning’ and alleged that Mr P had recorded the song “word for word” with the same producer.

This latest clash reopened the long-standing tensions between the brothers, who had reconciled in 2021 after years of estrangement but now appear to be at odds once more.

Responding to Rudeboy’s recent accusations that his brother re-recorded and released the track without his consent, Vampire Grace clarified that he only contributed to the song’s production and had no involvement in its subsequent release.

Taking to Instagram, Vampire Grace wrote, “I produced and recorded Winning for P-Square in 2022. I sent the stems to P-Square for mixing and mastering, got paid, and left Lagos. Two years later, one Square released the song. How is that my fault? Am I managing P-Square?”
