Primeboy Takes Legal Action Against Nigerian Police For Declaring Him Wanted

• This comes after the Lagos State Police Command labeled him as wanted.

Ibrahim Owodunni, also known as ‘Primeboy’ and a childhood friend of the late singer Mohbad, has taken legal action against the Nigeria Police Force for allegedly violating his human rights.

He filed the lawsuit at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on October 11, 2024.

This comes after the Lagos State Police Command labeled him as wanted on October 4, 2023, for not responding to police requests regarding the investigation into Mohbad’s death.

Primeboy went to the police voluntarily the day after the announcement.

His lawyer, Akinpelu Ogunbona, stated that Primeboy is seeking a court order to remove his name from the wanted list, claiming that the police’s actions have harmed his dignity and respect.

“Primeboy has sued the police via an originating motion filed on October 11 before the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos.

“His requests to the court include a declaration that the special police gazette bulletin issued by the office of the IGP declaring Primeboy wanted was a contravention of Primeboy’s right to respect for the dignity of his human person.

“Also, Primeboy requested the court to delist his name from the wanted list amongst other requests,” Ogunbona stated.

This update follows shortly after Primeboy declared his aim to sue Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Adeyemo-Aloba, for alleged defamation.

In other news, Wizkid has addressed the excitement generated by his recent meeting with Davido at a club in London.

Following the release of videos depicting the two artists overlooking one another, Wizkid took to social media to comment, stating, “Na Everybody Dey find Big wizzy.”

This fleeting interaction has sparked renewed discussions regarding the alleged discord between the two musical legends.

Davido was present at the club prior to Wizkid’s arrival with his entourage; however, they did not greet one another. Shortly thereafter, Wizkid departed, leaving Davido and his associates behind.
