(1) David Raya:
The Arsenal shot-stopper was excellent for the Gunners in their quest to win the Premier League title, his fantastic form earned him the Golden Glove. An award that is always given to the goalkeeper with the highest clean sheet in a season. He is the first Arsenal goalkeeper to win this award since Petr Cech.
(2) Ben White:
The English International was one of the standout players for Arsenal this season, his ability to defend and also attack is simply top-notch. He showed the world why he is one of the best right-backs in the world as he was able to not just defend but also able to score and give assists for the Gunners.
(3) Van Dijk:
The Dutchman started the season as Liverpool captain didn’t get off on a good note as he was sent off in the game against Newcastle back in August. However, the centre-back recovered wonderfully well from that setback and dismissed all suggestions that he was past his best by producing a string of almost-flawless displays for Liverpool that earned him a deserved nomination for Player of the Season.
(4) William Saliba:
The injury to the French defender last season was a big blow to the Gunners’ quest to win the Premier League last season ( 2022/23). However, Saliba played a major part in the Gunners this season, the defender played every second of Arsenal’s 38 games, becoming the first outfield player to complete the feat during the Premier League era.
(5) Martin Odegaard:
The Norwegian played in 35 of the Gunners’ Premier League games and made 48 appearances across all competitions. He finished the season with eight Premier League goals and ten assists, with 11 of each in all competitions.
(6) Declan Rice:
The English midfielder joined the Gunners during the 2023 summer transfer window from West Ham for £105 million. He played every one of Arsenal’s Premier League games, scored seven goals and provided eight assists, with another assist in the Champions League. This saw him break his goalscoring record for an individual season.
(7) Phil Foden:
The Manchester City player has been the shining light in Manchester City’s team in the just concluded 2023/24 season. Foden was named the best player in the league, from an eight-man list that included Erling Haaland, Alexander Isak, Martin Odegaard, Cole Palmer, Declan Rice, Virgil van Dijk, and Ollie Watkins. Foden has scored 25 goals across all competitions, 17 of which he scored in the Premier League, and made 11 assists in the current campaign.
(8) Rodri:
The Manchester City midfielder has been fantastic for the Premier League Champions since he joined the Cityzens during the summer transfer window in 2019. Guardiola labelled Rodri as the best midfielder in the world ‘by far’, a view that has been echoed by fans and pundits around football. The 27-year-old ended the 2023/24 season as the only player in the English top flight to break the 20 mark for shots on target, chances created, aerial duels won, fouls won, take-ons completed, tackles made, interceptions and clearances.
(9) Cole Palmer:
The former Manchester City player could arguably be named the best signing of the season because of his impressive performance since he joined Chelsea during the 2023 summer transfer window. Palmer scored 27 goals in all competitions last season, 22 of which came in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old was named the best young player of the Premier League Season, Chelsea’s Players’ Player of the Season, and the Fans’ Player of the Season.
(10) Ollie Watkins:
The forward player won the Premier League Playmaker of the Season award for the most assists provided in the 2023/24 season.
The Aston Villa forward enjoyed a stellar season, providing 13 assists as well as scoring 19 goals in the Premier League that helped Unai Emery’s side finish in the top four and qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
(11) Erling Haaland:
