Popular supermarket in Lagos shut down over sale of expired baby food

The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency, LASCOPA, has shut down a popular supermarket in Festac, Lagos State, over the sale of expired baby foods, others.

It stated that the supermarket identified as the Blessed Happy Homes supermarket, sells lots of expired products which are harmful to the human body.

The agency noted that the closure is in line with its mandate to protect consumers in the state from patronizing dishonourable businesses and to ensure products sold in the state meets two safety standards.

It therefore urged anyone with useful information concerning these kind of operations not to hesitate in making a report.
