Popular Nollywood actress, Jayeola Kuti professionally known as Jaiye Kuti has cried out in fear, asking her fans to pray for her and her children after getting stuck in traffic with them at midnight.
The actress took to her Instagram page to share details disclosing how she left Ikeja, Lagos around 7pm but at almost midnight, they were not yet home.
Jaiye Kuti said she and her children had to get down from their vehicle, leaving the driver with the car, and start trekking after being stuck in traffic for hours.
She described the incident as pathetic while calling on the government to do something on the Apapa Wharf road to stop trailers from working and blocking other vehicular movement. She wrote:
“Please pray for us… This is pathetic! Can this government do something to these trailers on Apapa, wharf road. I am walking home at night with my children”.
In an update, Jayeola Kuti expressed gratitude to God that she got home safely, however, her driver is still stuck in traffic and she prays he gets home safely. She added:
“My car and driver still on the bridge. May God bring him safe. Alhamdulilah modele. Thanks, everyone am home now with the children. God bless you all Eseun gan ni. I pray the Government will look into this Apapa, Wharf Road problems”.

In a similar situation, Yoruba actress, Jumoke Odetola lamented the heavy traffic in Lagos.
Sharing photos of her stuck in traffic, she questioned how one can have long life and prosperity in Lagos with the high rate of traffic.
She recounted how she was stuck in traffic for 10 hours from Ajah to Magodo and was facing a similar experience again on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. Jumoke Odetola went on to share a video from her movie location where she was the bride and jokingly asked fans to thank God she wasn’t late to her wedding.
