In what turned out to be his final month with Salford, Brandon Thomas-Asante showed he was one of the best players in League Two.
A goal and an assist came on the opening day against Mansfield, and he also grabbed a brace an assist against Crewe.
The forward, who has since joined West Brom, also scored against Bolton and Doncaster in a brilliant month.

One of the stars of League Two last season, Sam Hoskins has picked up where he left off.
The winger opened the season with a brace on assist against Colchester, and he helped himself to two more doubles at Crawley and Crewe.
Another goal against Grimsby meant he finished the opening month as the division’s top-scorer.

Omar Bogle joined Newport in the summer and he showed he could be a crucial addition in Wales.
He started well on the opening day with a goal against Sutton, before further strikes against Salford and Tranmere.

Walsall’s big summer signing Danny Johnson wasted little time in settling into life with The Saddlers.
Johnson bagged a hat-trick on his debut against Hartlepool, and followed that up with goals in consecutive games against Swindon, Stevenage and Barrow.
He finished up the month with a strike against Grimsby.

Josh Gordon has enjoyed an excellent start to the new season and has played a huge part in Barrow’s great run of form.
Gordon scored in the opening wins against Stockport and Bradford.
He then claimed the winners in 1-0 victories over Harrogate and AFC Wimbledon.

Leyton Orient have enjoyed a brilliant start to the new season and Charlie Kelman has been a key performer.
Kelman claimed crucial goals in the wins over Mansfield and Colchester.
