Peter Okoye Clarifies Who Owns the Recently Released Song, ‘Attention’

Peter Okoye Denies Rudeboy’s Ownership Claim Over New Song ‘Attention’

"Peter's statement led to my involvement in the EFCC's case" - Says Rudeboy

Nigerian music star Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P, has responded to his twin brother Rudeboy’s recent allegations regarding his latest song, Attention. Following the song’s release, Rudeboy claimed that Attention had been sampled from one of his own tracks, scheduled for release on an upcoming album in June 2025. The accusations have reignited tension between the two brothers.

In a detailed Instagram post, Peter refuted Rudeboy’s ownership claims, sharing his perspective on the song’s creative process. He explained that he collaborated with the producer Vampire, whom he had initially met in Ghana. Peter noted that he sponsored Vampire’s flight to Nigeria, where they worked on new music, including Attention. He emphasized that the song was written before Vampire’s arrival in Nigeria, dismissing any notion of sampling.

To further support his stance, Peter shared an audio clip of a conversation with Vampire, underlining his commitment to originality and credited work. This move appears aimed at clearing up any doubts surrounding Attention’s authenticity and distinguishing it from Rudeboy’s upcoming album.
