Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has expressed his delight with his side’s performance after a 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.
The Premier League champions claimed a narrow advantage in their Champions League quarter-final first leg, thanks to a late Kevin De Bruyne goal.
Before De Bruyne’s strike, City were frustrated by a very well drilled Atletico side, who camped in their own half for most of the game.
Guardiola has now hailed the LaLiga side as an incredible team.
He said:
“We played an incredible top side who are difficult to face but it is a good result.
“It is not easy to face a team with a lot of experience in this tournament. We will go there to score and try to win again.”
