Former Chelsea and Italy striker Gianfranco Zola, has reasons to believe that Antonio Conte and Victor Osimhen are ideal for Real Madrid.
The Italian legend made the statement in an interview with Kooora, ahead of Napoli’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
Zola noted Conte’s coaching style, stating, “Antonio Conte would be a distinguished choice” as a potential replacement for Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.
He praised Ancelotti whose contracts expires in the summer of 2024 for his impact at Real Madrid, while emphasizing the importance of having someone who can manage the team’s many stars effectively.
Discussing potential forwards for Real Madrid, Zola mentioned Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, and Victor Osimhen.
While he recognized Mbappe’s talent and personality, he suggested Haaland or Osimhen as better fits due to their classic center-forward attributes.
Zola noted that Mbappe, although talented, is more of a winger than a striker.
On the clash between Napoli and Real Madrid, Zola said Napoli will not find the game easy, recalling their current inconsistent form.
However, Zola advised Napoli to concentrate on delivering a good performance during the clash.
