Ondo, Ekiti People After Me Over Akure-ado Road – Minister Tells Fashola

Minister of State for Transportation, Ademola Adegoroye has urged Works and Housing Minister, Babatunde Fashola to expedite the Akure-Ado Ekiti road reconstruction.
Adegoroye made the appeal during a visit to Fashola in Abuja, according to a statement by his spokesman Ebenezer Adeniyan.

The official informed his host that the people of Ondo and Ekiti states were suffering the effects of the bad road.

Adegoroye said the poor state required urgent action from the federal government.

The minister told Fashola that his people would not let him rest at home until work began on the road.

Adegoroye added that he would keep visiting the minister once every week until the project took off.

He commended Fashola’s “hard work, forthrightness and determination in ensuring the growth of road infrastructure”.

Speaking, Fashola explained that the lack of funds made it difficult for the government to begin the project.

The ex-Lagos governor assured that he would do everything possible to ensure that work commences soon.
