Olivia Wilde denies Harry Styles got triple Florence Pugh’s salary

Olivia Wilde has quelled speculation her “Don’t Worry Darling” leading man, Harry Styles, was paid more than his co-star, Florence Pugh.

“There is absolutely no validity to those claims,” Wilde, 38, told Variety when asked about reports her boyfriend earned triple Pugh’s salary.

“There has been a lot out there that I largely don’t pay attention to. But the absurdity of invented clickbait and subsequent reaction regarding a nonexistent pay disparity between our lead and supporting actors really upset me,” she continued.

“I’m a woman who has been in this business for over 20 years, and it’s something that I have fought for myself and others, especially being a director.”

The “Booksmart” director met the “One Direction” alum, 28, on the set of the upcoming film, and the couple went public with their romance in January 2021.

Speculation has since swirled that Wilde had a falling out with Pugh — potentially over her relationship with Styles — however she gushed about her leading lady in the new interview.

“I had been blown the f–k away by her,” Wilde said of the 2019 horror flick “Midsommar.”

“I loved the film, but I loved her. I was just like, ‘Well, she’s extraordinary. She’s clearly the most exciting young actress working today.’”

Styles, who replaced embattled actor Shia LaBeouf in the role of Jack, also spoke to the outlet about the film.

“It felt like an opportunity to play someone who is incredibly complex, caught between love and obsession,” he said. “There were always two sides of the character to play with. It’s fun to play someone that you feel like you’re trying to work out the whole time.”

It comes a couple of days after Styles appeared on a magazine cover of his own, speaking to Rolling Stone about the “toxic negativity” trolls have hurled at him and Wilde.

“It’s obviously a difficult feeling to feel like being close to me means you’re at the ransom of a corner of Twitter or something,” the “Dunkirk” actor said.

“I just wanted to sing,” he added. “I didn’t want to get into it if I was going to hurt people like that.”

Wilde was also interviewed by the outlet, calling Styles’ extremely devoted fans “deeply loving people” and “true champions of kindness.”

“What I don’t understand about the cruelty you’re referencing is that that kind of toxic negativity is the antithesis of Harry, and everything he puts out there,” the actress said.

“I don’t personally believe the hateful energy defines his fan base at all.”
