Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard remains sidelined with an ankle injury but could be back before the November international break.
According to manager Mikel Arteta. Ødegaard, who has been out since September, is set to miss Wednesday’s Carabao Cup match against Preston North End.
Although Arteta is hopeful about his return before Arsenal’s Premier League match at Chelsea on November 10.
The Gunners are managing an increasing injury list, with defender Riccardo Calafiori out for weeks following a knee injury sustained in the Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk.
Arsenal’s recent Premier League clash against Liverpool saw defenders Gabriel Magalhães and Jurriën Timber leave the field.
However, it has been confirmed that Gabriel’s injury doesn’t appear serious, and Timber was only subbed off due to fatigue.
Following the League Cup match, Arsenal face Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday, aiming to keep form after draw with Liverpool on Sunday.
