- Nigerian life coach Solomon Buchi has criticized the idea of incorporating a married couple into the Big Brother Naija show.
- Buchi lamented the loss of respect for marriage, maintaining that this contradicts the sanctity of marriage.
In a critical reaction to a video showing the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) couple “DoubleKay” arguing over an incident where a housemate, Fairme, accused Kassia of touching his nipple, Nigerian life coach Solomon Buchi expressed his disapproval.
Buchi was particularly concerned about the fact that a married couple now participates in the reality show, which he believes contradicts the sanctity of marriage.
Buchi’s comments highlighted his belief that marriage is a sacred institution that should be respected and upheld with dignity. He lamented that there was once a time when being married was synonymous with possessing wisdom and maturity. However, according to Buchi, this perception has drastically changed, with married individuals now participating in reality shows like BBNaija, which he feels promote romantic entanglements and immoral behaviour.
In his words:
“Wait, a married couple went on Big Brother Naija? You guys have no respect for marriage. There was a time that people believed one had sense just because they’re married. These days married people are scrambling to get on a reality show that thrives on romantic affairs and immorality.”
