NJC asks Nigerian governors to appoint 36 new judges

The National Judicial Council (NJC) has forwarded the names of 36 candidates to their respective state governors for judicial appointments.

Naija News reports that these recommendations were finalized during the NJC’s 107th meeting, held on November 13 and 14, 2024, and chaired by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun.

The appointed candidates are expected to be sworn in by their respective state governors.

The recommended judges are:
