An interesting fact right now is that Niphkeys currently has 11 songs in the Apple Music Top 100.
That’s 11% of the songs Nigerians are listening to the most, produced by a guy who people didn’t even know two years ago.
Since first coming to the limelight in 2020 with Naira Marley’s “Koleyewon,” Niphkeys has come a long way, producing some of the hottest songs in the country and gifting artists more than one hit.
His frequent collaborators are the Marlian Music acts; he produced “Feel Good” for Mohbad and has done almost all of Zinoleesky’s recent hits, from “Kilofeshe” to “Mapariwo” to “Naira Marley” and much recently, “Rocking.”
But that’s not all Niphkeys has done. Last year he produced Zlatan’s big “Ale Yi” hit and co-produced Lil Kesh’s “Don’t Call Me” with Young John. He has even worked on Asake’s EP, “Ololade Asake” this year and there’s no doubt many more to come.
It seems like people are just starting to get the idea that Niphkeys is an absolute fire and it’s only a matter of time before he becomes a sensation and starts producing for Olamide and Davido.
He’s been trending on Twitter lately, and people are saying if Zinoleesky wins the Next Rated, then Niphkeys should definitely get Producer of the Year because of his immense contribution to Zino’s career.
Overall, Niphkeys’ talent cannot be denied. He has mastered the art of fusing the wavy Amapiano sound with typical afro tunes and when it comes to making dance records, he’s one of the best available right now. A guy that knows what to do with the bass and percussions.
Without Niphkeys, the industry will definitely be missing something. Not just something, but a lot. I don’t think Niphkeys is the best right now, but I think he’s also the hottest there is at the moment!
