In a video he shared online, the singer said that his account has been hacked and all his details changed, locking him out of it.
“Wakenya, nimeibiwa. Ile YouTube yangu inaitwa Chris Embarambamba imeibwa. Mimi ni msanii ambaye nimeng’ang’ana na maisha yangu. nimeumia, nimepta majeraha kwa uso juu ya kung’ang’ana na talent yangu,” he said.
“I am requesting my fans who are experts in the internet and computer field to help me find this thief. I believe that we will find this thief. All honorable, fellow Kisiis and all Kenyan, let’s look for this thief,” he added.
The YouTube account boasts of over 320,000 subscribers.
Embarambamba is known for the controversial nature of his songs and his antiques in videos.
The controversial nature of his songs landed him in trouble with KFCB in March this year, that he was even slapped with a Kshs6.4 million fine.
He was served with demands to;
- Delete all offensive/indecent content uploaded on his YouTube channel and other social media platforms within two days of the demand notice
- Submit all his content (music videos) to KFCB for examination and classification for age appropriateness.
- Acquire a filming license from KFCB before embarking on any new productions, and submit the same for classification for age-appropriateness before exhibiting to the public.
