Noel Ifeanyi Alumona, a Nigerian-born student has been shortlisted for the esteemed Chegg.org’s Global Student prize 2023, worth a staggering N79 million ($100,000).
The prestigious award recognizes students who have made significant contributions to their communities, bringing positive change through their innovative initiatives.
Currently pursuing a master’s degree at Vanderbilt University, Noel Ifeanyi Alumona has been actively involved in advocating for gender equality and empowering young minds through his non-governmental organization (NGO), Boys Champions.
Part of the release reads;
“In 2018, he founded Boys Champions – a youth-led nonprofit organization supporting boys and men on their journey to manhood by teaching them positive masculinity and showing them how to relate to women respectfully. Boys Champions also brings books and educational resources to rural communities via a mobile library, with the aim of raising the next generation of future leaders.”

The winner of the Global Student Prize, set to be announced in August, will receive the coveted N79 million ($100,000) award as a token of recognition for their remarkable efforts in touching their communities and bringing about positive changes through education and innovation.
