Nigerian soldiers beat up LASTMA officials for assaulting a soldier

Some Nigerian soldiers on Monday, August 14, 2023 attacked some officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

 The sad incident happened at the Ojota area of Lagos state.

The soldiers were seen attacking the LASTMA officials with weapons while cursing and abusing them.

Recall that some days ago, a LASTMA official was captured assaulting a soldier inside a commercial vehicle popularly called ‘Danfo’ in the Ketu area of the state.

A viral video on social media captured the official harshly speaking to the soldier who was sitting in a commercial bus over an unknown issue. The enraged  soldier also replied angrily with insults.

The situation got intense, as the officer stepped down the vehicle to launch an attack at the LASTMA official.

 The soldiers who were seen today attacking the LASTMA officials came to retaliate on behalf of the soldier.

In other news, a 33-year-old suspect, Akeem Owonikoko has confessed after he was arrested by officers of the Ogun State Police Command along the Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode-Benin expressway on Sunday.

The suspect confessed that one Inspector Ola supplied him with arms and ammunition.

Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, told newsmen in a statement that the suspect was arrested after a 24-hour operation led by the Ijebu-Ode Area Commander, ACP Omosanyi Adeniyi.
