Popular Nigerian singer, Teni Apata known as Teni was reported to have gifted her ‘best’ secondary school teacher, Mr. Ofudje a brand new Lexus car for Teacher’s Day Celebration.
Teni was said to have visited her Alma Mater, Apata Memorial High School in Ikeja to deliver the gift to Mr. Ofudje by herself.
The news was shared by one of the teachers in the school, who shared a video of the 30-year-old singer handing over the key to the car to the Mathematics teacher.
“Mr Ofudje taught Teni, he was her best teacher back then and she came back to appreciate him.
“Hard working, we celebrate you sir. Congratulations Mr Ofudje, well deserved.”
Videos that are circulating on social media show the crowd erupting in applause when Teni declares that she has a car gift for her math teacher.
She gave him the key and escorted him outside the hallway to the car which was parked close to the entrance of the hall.
Also, Mr. Ofudje was seen bowing in appreciation for his former student’s kindness, but she ran up and hugged him instead as the crowd continued to rejoice.
