A Nigerian man from Delta State has allegedly sent his wife packing due to her inability to conceive a child.
The incident, narrated by a concerned neighbor named Gold Syril, has triggered a strong reaction from Nigerians, sparking a heated debate on the subject of childlessness and its impact on marital relationships.
According to Gold Syril’s account, the neighbor abruptly expelled his wife from their home, citing her failure to bear a child as the reason behind his decision.
Syril expressed deep distress over witnessing the heartbreaking scene of the wife being forced to leave the residence.
Seeking answers and opinions on the matter, she questioned the propriety of such actions solely based on the issue of childlessness.
She wrote;
“My neighbor sent his wife parking just now because She has not given him a child, I’m pained watching her park right now. Abeg is it really proper to chase your wife away bcos of a child? Please I need answer. God please bless every TTC.”
The incident has ignited a wave of public reaction across various social media platforms, with Nigerians expressing their concern and condemning the man’s actions.
@Tony Mbanefo said; “Children come from God, the man shouldn’t have done that. They should have engaged in medical check up, find out the cause. It may be the man’s fault or the woman’s but both should have stayed and solve it.”
@John Sunday said; “This might be small issues like infection. They should go for necessary lab test as far the woman womb is still intact.”
@Omoba Oladejo Adeniran said; “A man who eats anything, drinks anything will always accuse his wife of infertility.The problem could be from the man like that o.”
@Omono Eghobamien said; “It has been discovered medically that 80percent infertility problem is from men…so he better be sure he is fertile before another lady gift him his friend’s child as his own. I don talk my own.”
