A Nigerian feminist who goes by the name Demi has ignited a firestorm of discussions online by expressing her unconventional support for “Yahoo boys.”
Demi, also identified as a radical feminist, asserted that she appreciates the perspective of these individuals because they challenge the conventional notions of morality and legality.
Her comments have stirred heated debates on social media platforms.
Demi argued that cyber fraudsters possess an early understanding that morality and legality are subjective constructs that have been wielded by the powerful elite to manipulate the masses.
According to her, these constructs are used by the elite to maintain control over society, deciding what actions are deemed acceptable or punishable.
In her tweet, Demi highlighted that many young people fail to realize this perspective until later in life, often around the age of 35 when they find themselves still searching for employment opportunities.
She provocatively linked this delayed realization to the struggles of writing CVs from modest living situations.
In her words;
I like yahoo boys because they realized quite early that morality and legality are both constructs of the powerful to be interpreted by the powerful. Many of you don’t realize this until you’re 35 and still writing CVs from your apartment in Abule oja.
Slavery was once legal and Moral. Alcohol was once illegal. Cocaine used to be legally sold in coke beverages. Make of that what you will.
Frame this tweet because when the night is darkest and the sunrise is a forgotten memory, you will need it to enter a new realm of consciousness.”

@BlackBird_S70 said; “I bet you’ll be indifferent if you get vio__lated. Because the desire to seek for justice would be an artificial moral contruct. Ode buruku.”
@AnthonyKvngsman said; “Well going by this ideology, anything and everything goes then. Rituals, armed robbery, human trafficking, organ harvesting, forced prostitution, drug trafficking, the whole works. Am I correct? Or did I miss something? 🤔”
@EseDevlin said; “Let’s say we all do fraud, where does that lead us? What happens when everyone is a fraudster? In short, let’s scrap all laws entirely from society. what happens?”
