A Nigerian lady is celebrating bagging a PhD in Mathematics at 27 despite getting a D7 when she sat for her West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and a C6 in her NECO certificate in the same subject.
Grace Ogwo who was awarded a PhD in Mathematics by University of Kwazulu-Natal , South Africa, after 20 publications, also graduated with a First Class in Mathematics during her first degree at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU). She was also the best-graduating student in her department at the time.
