Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has expressed his admiration for Chelsea, naming the West London club as his dream Premier League destination.
The Udinese shot-stopper, currently on international duty with Nigeria ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda, shared his thoughts during an interview with SportyTV.
“Of course, playing in the Premier League is a dream for me,” Okoye revealed.
“For me in the Premier League, it’s Chelsea. I am not a Chelsea fan, but I always kind of supported Chelsea.
“I wouldn’t say Chelsea is my team because my teams are in Germany, but in England, Chelsea is my team.”
Okoye, 24, has been a key figure for Nigeria and Udinese, although he hasn’t seen adequate playing time for the Super Eagles.
