According to Kioko, he is not aware of the procedure to apply for the green card.
“I have never ever applied for the green card. I don’t even know how to apply for a green card,” he said in a YouTube video.
“Actually I was the one explaining to him how it is applied, there is a time the application link is released, then you go for a passport photo. He doesn’t know about green card, he just walk up one day and found himself trending,” his wife added.
Kioko however noted that he had shown interest in visiting US for the purposes of networking, going for vacation or studying.
Following reports about their supposed relocations, many advised them to remain in Kenya so that they don’t end up doing menial jobs in the States. Others said that Kioko had money and he should just stick to his motherland.
“Many people in US made videos advising us not to go to US. I don’t if it is jealous. I was like who said we have won the green card. Others were attacking us,” Ashley explained, and further said that the reactions from people have made her to eagerly wait for the green card application link.
Kioko also said that he joined a scholarship programme that will see him travel to the US sometime next year.
“Sina haraka, sina pressure am just easy. Ikijipa ni sawa isipojipa ni sawa,” he said.
