Teni, a Nigerian singer, was dragged for paying respects to IBD Dende, who was recently called out for smuggling-related offences.
The singer encountered him on a flight and wasted no time in paying her respects, dropping down on her kneel and greeting him.
Many Nigerians, however, considered it strange that she was treating him so nicely, especially given his purported criminal record.
Fisayo Soyombo, an investigative reporter, has regularly called out the businessman in recent months for allegedly being engaged in smuggling as well as the shooting of a customs officer.
Despite IBD Dende’s response, which claimed that he was not such type of guy, the reporter refused to back down, presenting proof with his reports.
Thus, many social media users are annoyed with Teni for getting involved with the man despite all the reports.

His businesses and source of wealth have negative consequences for our country, corrupt authorities didn’t say anything and then here you are legitimising him. You should be ashamed of yourself.”

@steveabbey_ claimed: “Musicians are one of the biggest tools to criminal politicians. Teni can’t tell me she doesn’t know what he does”
@kuwait_magix added: “Your dad Apata was a honourable man known for strictness. Look at how you’re just worshiping a criminal.
Lack of contentment brought you this low.
