A Nigerian man living and working in the Netherlands has expressed his determination to spend the rest of his life in the European country after witnessing a fully automated bridge for the first time.
The man, who was commuting on his bicycle alongside fellow travelers, was left in awe as he witnessed the cutting-edge technological advancement.
The bridge in question was equipped with an advanced automation system that allowed it to fold up swiftly to allow the passage of a boat underneath.
This state-of-the-art feature astounded the Nigerian man, leaving him skeptical about the possibility of encountering such innovation in his home country, Nigeria.
In a video clip that he shared on the internet, the man humorously mocked Nigeria’s infrastructural capabilities, jesting that if such a bridge were to be built in his homeland, the battery powering it would likely be stolen due to prevalent theft issues.
He said;
“See wetin I see today, I just dey come out like this say make I pass with my bicycle. Na so I see say their bridge don go up, wetin make the bridge go up? Boat wan pass, so the bridge go up. Abegii, I no dey come back again oh, I no dey come back again. I don japa.”
