Award-winning Nigerian film actress and ‘daddy’s girl’, Bimbo Ademoye has showered her father with accolades while reeling out his attributes and lessons she has learnt from him.
Taking to social media to celebrate her father’s birthday today, Tuesday June 13, Bimbo who was recently crowned the best actress in a comic movie by the AMVCA, shared a lengthy post explaining how her dad has always been her go-to person to date, even as an adult.
In her post, Bimbo described how her dad instilled in her and her siblings great attributes and a human outlook on life.
The Anikulapo movie star called her father a “superhero without any ego, her best friend and go to person” while she shared a video collage of moments of both of them together at different periods.
Bimbo Ademoye wrote:
“A hero without an Ego, there’s hardly any . If I could pause the whole world to celebrate you, I most definitely will . My super hero, My very own Superman, Spider-Man, Batman all in one. I remember when I was a kid and my friends would tell me how they’d run into their rooms whenever their daddy got back from work and turn off the tv. I couldn’t relate because I always stayed by the window with my siblings to check if my daddy’s car was coming from the junction so we could jump on him and hug him.
Some time last month, I had a challenge and was stuck. I called my dad and he immediately left everything he was doing to help sort it out . He called back and asked if all was well and I said “I’m perfectly fine daddy ” . He responded saying “ok let me still be on standby Incase you need me again”. At my big age he’s still my go to ..
I’ve always known my dad to be a very unproblematic kind of guy UNTIL YOU MESS WITH HIS KIDS. He once told someone, do what you want to me, I’d take it, but mess with my children, you’d see a side of me you never knew existed . I mean who has 4 kids and adopts 9 more. I could write a whole book about this Superman right here.
My strength I got from you
My morals you instilled in me
That spirit of hard work. That’s all you . (When people say l’m hardworking, I smile because they haven’t met my dad. He can work round the clock)
How to love without conditions, you thought me that.
Give without expecting . You won’t stop ringing that in .
When you give and a megaphone follows it becomes an advert so give in silence.
I could go on and on about to pops. But a whole book would never be enough. In my next life, poor or rich, I’d still want to be your child . Thank you God for giving me my backbone, my biggest support system,my bestfriend to be my daddy . I love you dada.
Happy birthday to my superhero . I’d forever strive hard to make you proud. I love you so much.”
