Speaking to journalists following the successful Gospo 1 concert at Nairobi’s Sankara restaurant, Musila highlighted the unconventional beginnings of their partnership.
Their first interaction, she revealed, was not sparked by romance but rather by a concern for Guardian Angel’s underappreciated talent in the gospel music landscape.
“My husband is a very strange person. When I heard his song for the first time, my first question was, ‘Who is his manager?’ Because I thought this guy has a unique talent in singing, but why don’t I know him? For me, the problem was that it was not being sold properly in the art market,” she explained.
Musila emphasized that her entry into Guardian’s life was not initially driven by love but rather a sense of divine purpose.
“Therefore, me coming into Guardian’s life was not even about a romantic relationship, but I think God and his own plans thought this was his wife,” she said, smiling warmly.
She praised Guardian Angel for his passion and motivation, pointing out his unwavering dedication to his craft.
“I want to thank Guardian Angel; I am very proud of his presence and his inspiration to make the Gospo 1 festival a success,” she added.
Last June, Guardian Angel had revealed that Musila is part of a team of eight managing his music career, comprising various roles including a social media manager, graphic designer, videographer, and photographer.
“What most people don’t know is that I have a management team that includes my wife, two producers, a lawyer, among others. But my wife is my manager. If it wasn’t for my wife, my career wouldn’t be as good as it is now,” he stated.
He expressed gratitude towards Musila’s contributions, noting a significant transformation in his life since they met.
“There is a big difference if I consider where I was before I met her and now. I mean, for example, I was living in Athi River, and right now I am probably the only gospel artist who lives in Karen,” Guardian Angel remarked.
With their combined efforts, both Musila and Guardian Angel continue to navigate the evolving music industry, striving to elevate their presence and impact.
