“Mwili Yangu Sio Ya Mawe!” Jacque Maribe Reacts After Being Accused Of Missing Court Ruling

Jacque Maribe found herself at the center of controversy on Friday, January 26th, as she missed a crucial court hearing where the High Court was set to deliver judgment in the infamous Monica Kimani murder case. However, Maribe, through her legal representative, sought to explain her absence by citing an unforeseen illness and requested the court to postpone the verdict.

Justice Nzioka, despite acknowledging Maribe’s health concerns, maintained that the judgment was ready, and the final decision would be revealed on March 15, 2024.

Minutes after the ruling, Maribe took to her social media platforms to address the accusations and express her frustration.

In a series of Instagram stories, Maribe wrote, “To humiliate someone because of ill health is so wrong. And to make it clear, I have never missed court except once when I was ill.”

She went on to question the fairness of judging her for a health issue, emphasizing that her body was not made of bricks and that the decision to seek a delay was a matter of being respectful to the court.

This isn’t the first time Maribe has voiced her discontent with the legal proceedings.

In December 2023, she expressed dissatisfaction when the court postponed the judgment to January 26th. Through another Instagram post, Maribe pleaded for an end to the delays, saying, “It needs to stop. For five years I have respected the court, but this is too much. Justice delayed is justice denied. Stop putting people’s lives in limbo. I’m tired of this.”
