Renowned Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, has recently shared his thoughts on the earnings of musicians and footballers

According to Portable, the music industry yields significantly higher earnings than the football sector.

In a video posted on his social media platform, Portable asserted that musicians outearn not only football players but also individuals involved in illicit activities such as ritualism and fraud.

He highlighted the substantial amount of money generated by music streaming platforms like Apple Music, suggesting that footballers cannot compare to the financial success of musicians.

Portable disagreed with the notion that football players earn more than musicians, stating that those who hold this belief are misinformed.

He confidently declared that musicians occupy the top tier in terms of earnings.

In his words:

Music money is bigger than football money. Music is business. Musicians earn more than ritualists and fraudsters. Apple Music revenue is huge. Footballers can’t compete.

“People saying footballers earn more than musicians don’t know what they are saying. Musicians are at the top”.

In another news, Portable calls out Dammy Krane over unpaid collaboration fee.

The “Zazoo Zehh” singer took to his Instagram page to air his grievances, simultaneously pledging his unwavering loyalty to his benefactor, Davido.

Portable, known for his outspoken nature, recently linked up with Davido during a trip to the United States.

In a video shared on his social media, Portable emphasized his allegiance to the “Unavailable” crooner.

The controversy stems from a collaboration between Portable and Dammy Krane last year. Portable claims that he was never compensated for his contribution to the track, which Dammy Krane used to throw shade at Davido.

In his video, Portable asserted that his participation in the song was not intended as a diss towards Davido, stressing that he would never do anything to jeopardize his relationship with his benefactor.
