Mother of three reportedly ends it all outside police station

A distraught housewife allegedly committed suicide outside a divisional police station in Enugu North Local Government Area, Enugu State.

It was discovered that the mother of three ran into a passing vehicle and died instantaneously as a result of financial troubles following her husband’s separation from her and their children.

According to repoerts, the event occurred last weekend in front of Ogui Police Station, while she was suffering from depression.

The deceased, whose name is still unknown, dropped off her three small children at the police station, removed her clothes, and dashed into a moving truck, crushing her to death.

When interrogated, the eldest of the children stated that their father “got lost.” While a police source stated: “She could not give any other information about their family, their town, or residential address”.

Following the terrible tragedy, the First Lady of Enugu, Mrs Nkechinyere Mbah, declared that scholarships will be offered to the three children (under seven years) who lost their parents in strange circumstances.

The governor’s wife had paid an impromptu visit to the Ogui Police Station in Enugu to observe the children being held in custody.

Mrs Mbah, moved by the heartbreaking story, promised to care for the siblings and educate them from nursery school to university.
