Pete Edochie, a well-known actor in Nollywood, has addressed Yul’s contentious marriage to Judy Austin and May Edochie’s recent actions for the first time, speaking extensively on both matters.
During a fascinating and intriguing interview with Chude Jideonwo, Pete Edochie was asked if he knew beforehand about Yul’s plans to marry Judy Austin.
In response, Pete Edochie said that he was taken by surprise when Yul’s controversial marriage to Judy Austin happened. He pointed out that Yul is 41 years old and, in general, he refrains from getting involved in his sons’ marital matters because they are mature enough to make their own decisions.
He mentioned an incident when Yul Edochie’s decision to run for Governor was another unexpected development that caught him off guard.
Pete said that Yul is the architect of his current predicament.
He said, “He who fetches ant-infested firewood, should be ready to host the lizards for a feast”
When discussing May Edochie, Pete fondly remembered the time he visited her hometown to seek her hand in marriage and the warm reception he received from her family and community.
The Thespian averred that he holds May in high regard. He praised her as a talented and intelligent woman, acknowledging her expertise in the field of Computers, which he believes is truly remarkable.
Pete acknowledged that the success of Yul’s home is largely due to May Edochie’s contributions and efforts. He warmly recalled the sweet and affectionate birthday message he received from her.
However, Pete pointed out that many people mostly women are giving May Edochie misguided advice, trying to create discord in her marriage to Yul.
He expressed concern that those women offering such counsel come from broken families and marriages themselves.

Earlier this week, reports made rounds that May is seeking a divorce and has filed a lawsuit seeking N100 million in damages from Yul and his second wife, Judy, who she accused of adultery.
She also filed a restraining order, barring Yul from accessing their matrimonial home, which they built together.
