Mohbad attempted suicide over Naira Marley – Bella Shmurda

• Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda recounts what his colleague Mohbad passed through during his ordeal with Marlian music
• He reveals that Mohbad had attempted suicide because of his issues with his former record label

Nigerian artist Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, also known as Bella Shmurda, has revealed how his colleague, Mohbad, attempted suicide due to a feud with his old record label, Marlian Music.

Earlier last year, Mohbad had accused his former record label boss Naira Marley on social media of ordering his goons to beat him up.

Shortly after the incident, he left the record label.

In an interview with well-known media figure Chude Jideonwo, Bella Shmurda claimed Mohbad attempted suicide during his issues with his former record label but was stopped by friends.

In his words:

“There was a time, me and Mohbad were in an apartment and Mohbad was like he wanted to jump from the upstairs because of the issues he was having with his record label. We held him by the window. Mohbad had almost jumped, it was his girlfriend that entered the room and saw him sitting down at the window.”

Bella Shmurda added that Mohbad went through therapy sessions and hospital for hypertension treatment before he could recover from the issues with Marlian music.

Recall that the Marlian Signee called out Naira Marley and his boys for allegedly trying to kill him after his release from NDLEA custody.

In a series of disturbing videos via his Instagram live, Mohbad could be heard crying for help, calling on the police while repeatedly saying he doesn’t want to die.
