Michael Owen Names Favourite Clubs To Win The Champions League This Season (Check Them Out)

Former Real Madrid striker, Michael Owen, has named Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United as the favourites clubs to win the Champions League ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.
Owen feels all the four Premier League clubs are far ahead of other clubs to win the Europe top-flight competition this season, including the PSG, despite the French Ligue 1 giants having Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

The former England international said this while giving his verdicts on Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe combination as PSG drew 1-1 with Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Messi started PSG’s opening Champions League group game against Club Brugge on Wednesday night in a front three with Neymar, Mbappe, but none of the club’s all-star forwards were able to find the net in a disappointing 1-1 draw against the Belgium side.

“As much as we drool over them [Messi, Neymar and Mbappe], this PSG team with those forwards, they are all phenomenal players in their own right,” Owen told BT Sport.

“But three together makes it weaker for me and I don’t really understand why they are one of the favourites for it [the Champions League].

“I think the English teams (Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Man United) are far, far superior.”
