“Mboshoo” Shock As Mbosso Steps Out In A Yellow Dera

“Mboco Kawairimu! Si aseme tu amejoin mbogi ya sim 2!” Netizens say after Mbosso rocked a dera.

Tanzanian music sensation Mbosso has sent shockwaves through the entertainment world after he stepped out in a traditional African garment known as a “dera.” The singer, known for his modern and stylish image, made a bold fashion statement that left fans and critics alike intrigued and shocked.

Mbosso is a household name in East Africa and beyond, thanks to his soulful voice and contemporary music style. He is often seen in designer clothing, setting trends with his fashionable outfits. However, his decision to wear a dera which is normally won by women for a public appearance caught everyone off guard, raising eyebrows.

The dera is a traditional East African garment primarily worn by women. It’s long and a loose fit and is usually made from colorful and intricate fabrics. Historically, the dera has been a symbol of cultural pride and identity, reflecting the rich heritage of the Swahili people.

Mbosso’s choice to don a dera has been met with mixed reactions from fans and the public. Some praised the singer for embracing his cultural roots and promoting African fashion, while others were surprised and curious about his sudden departure from his usual contemporary style with immediate guess being he’s queer and gay.

His professional music career kicked off when he joined the music group “Yamoto Band” in 2010. During his time with the group, he honed his vocal skills and learned valuable lessons about the music industry. However, it was his solo career that truly launched him into stardom.

Mbosso’s decision to go solo turned out to be a game-changer. In 2018, he signed with the iconic Wasafi Records, which was founded by Diamond Platnumz, one of Africa’s biggest music stars. Under the Wasafi label, Mbosso’s career skyrocketed, and he began releasing hit after hit.

One of his breakout songs, “Hodari,” released in 2018, became an instant hit and garnered millions of views on YouTube. The song’s heartfelt lyrics and Mbosso’s distinctive voice struck a chord with audiences, cementing his status as a rising star in the East African music scene.

The star and a ladies magnet rocked his yellow dera at Wasafi Festival which is currently on in different parts of Tanzania.
