Manchester United have announced the signing of Martin Dubravka on loan from Newcastle.
The Red Devils have been on the lookout for a new deputy to David de Gea after Dean Henderson’s loan departure to Nottingham Forest.
The likes of Alex McCarthy, Kevin Trapp, Yann Sommer, Odysseas Vlachodimos, Daniel Bachmann and Giorgi Mamardashvili have all been linked with a move to Old Trafford, but United have now confirmed the arrival of Dubravka.
The Slovakian stopper joined Newcastle on an initial loan in 2018 from Sparta Prague before signing permanently.
After four impressive years at St James’ Park, he was recently displaced as their starting goalkeeper by England international Nick Pope, who joined from relegated Burnley eariler this summer.
