On a Twitter Space held by TRACE Naija, M.I Abaga discussed his relationship with fellow rap legend Vector. And, based on the rapper’s statements, it’s all love between the two.
The #TwitterYarns Twitter Space discussed the state of hip-hop in the Country and highlighted rap collaborations such as the Hennessy VS class cypher and the Crown of Clay record, which was a collaboration between Vector, M.I Abaga, and producer Pheelz.
M.I had spoken about Vector with glowing remarks saying;
“I have always respected Vector’s talent and pen game.”
While Vector had explained the collaboration as their way of creating something beyond the Hennessy Vs Class competition to strengthen the Hip-Hop conversation across the board, for M.I it was also a chance to work with a respected colleague.
In M.I’s words;
“I’m glad that I got to record with Vector in my career.”
M.I had also spoken on the political undertone of the collaborations, stating that he’d let Vector set the tone.
The rappers’ collaboration on Crown of Clay had been released in March last year following a long-winded and heated feud between the two and signalled a new era in their rap careers.
