Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored a late winner as the Super Eagles of Nigeria pick all three points against Libya in Uyo.
Libya looked on the back foot for most of the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier encounter.
It could’ve been 4-0 easily if Nigeria took their chances.
But Dele-Bashiru’s late goal, which came shortly after Ademola Lookman had his goal disallowed, made the difference for Augustine Eguavoen’s men.
Despite dominating possession, the Super Eagles lacked the spark to turn their fortunes early in the game.
However, with the late winner, the AFCON finalists remain top of Group D with seven points in three games.
They are closely followed by Benin Republic who beat their visitors Rwanda 3-0.
