- He highlighted the distinction between constructive criticism and derogatory remarks.
A London-based Nigerian man, Obinna Aligwekwe, has publicly announced his decision to cut ties with activist VeryDarkMan due to a recent online controversy.
The controversy stems from VeryDarkMan’s statements, which Aligwekwe deemed as crossing the line from activism into unwarranted insults.
On Facebook, Obinna Aligwekwe highlighted the importance of constructive criticism and distinguished it from derogatory remarks, emphasizing that activism should not involve verbal attacks.
He explained that speaking the truth and insulting others are two different things, and sometimes the two can be mistaken for activism.
Accompanying his statement, Aligwekwe shared an edited photo featuring himself and VeryDarkMan, with VDM visibly removed.
This decision comes after VeryDarkMan’s controversial remarks following the Chivido wedding, targeting several individuals.
