Liverpool Football Club have been hit with a speed bump as they look to win the Premier League title from Manchester City.
The Reds midfielder, Thiago Alcantara, suffered an injury in the club’s opening game of the season against a newly promoted side, Fulham. According to reports from Anfield, Thiago is expected to be out for at least six weeks.
The player is expected to be out till mid-September, which means he will miss the games against Crystal Palace, Manchester United, Bournemouth, Newcastle United, Everton and Wolves.
Thiago has been a big influence on the Liverpool team since he joined them from Bayern Munich during the summer of 2020.
Supporters of the club will hope they do not suffer any more injury worry as they look to continue into the rest of the season.
