Popular football fan Akin Alabi, who is also a politician and Man United fan (probably a Cristiano Ronaldo fan too) has dropped the bomb on fans of Messi 
According to him, Lionel Messi is not the greatest ever player from Argentina. Full stop

Apparently, he doesn’t even care Messi recently won the Copa America title.
But if Messi isn’t the greatest player in Argentina, the next person on everyone’s lips is most definitely Maradona, widely regarded as one of the best players from the South American country.
However, if we are to judge by numbers, Messi is far greater than Maradona 
Messi has scored over 700 goals for club and country, while Maradona’s tally stopped at 345. Messi has won 10 league titles and four Champions League titles. Maradona, on the other hand, had three league titles and a Uefa Cup. Messi has won six Ballon d’Or laurels to Maradona’s none, for Fifa launched the award in 1991.
But Maradona won the greatest trophy in world football, the world cup in 1986, a feat Messi hasn’t accomplished.
So maybe we understand where Akin Alabi is heading to, or is he saying nonsense?
