Bayer Leverkusen continued their fine run in the Bundesliga title race with a commanding 3-0 win over Bayern Munich.
The Victor saw Xabi Alonso’s men move five points clear of their rivals.
Josip Stanišić, on loan from Bayern, opened the scoring for Leverkusen against his parent club, followed by Álex Grimaldo doubling their lead just after half-time.
Jeremie Frimpong sealed win with an added time goal into an empty net, with Bayern’s Manuel Neuer upfield following a corner.
Leverkusen maintained control throughout the match, and could have scored even more goals.
The win puts them in a strong position to secure their first-ever Bundesliga title, having gone over 30 games unbeaten under manager Alonso.
